For those looking for a luxury family cruise Cunard Line offers children's Programs: QM2 boasts a full nursery with British nannies, children's activities with counselors and baby sitting services. Service is excellent and one of the highest in the contemporary cruise segment. The Queen Mary 2 has award winning accommodations, 14 decks of sports facilities, shops, bars, lounges, 5 pools and at least 10 restaurants, each offering elegant ambience and attentive service. Everything from lunch on deck to a more formal, gourmet affair in one of the restaurants, Cunard guarantees your satisfaction and excellent service.
The class you purchase determines where your cabins are and in which restaurants you eat in. As is standard with modern cruise ships, an aft buffet is available as a casual option, and on the QM2 that buffet is converted to three casual restaurants during dinner hours. Restaurants include 10 dining venues, including the only shipboard restaurant by celebrity chef Todd English. Though Cunard’s dining rooms are segregated with remnants of a class system, the cuisine is extraordinary and each dining room offers exquisite menus complete with vegetarian and light selections. Another unique dining option on the QM2 is the Chef’s Galley on Deck 7, where a limited number of guests can watch meal preparations through open viewing and large monitors. While options seem endless, some choose to grab something quick and casual and others prefer to put on their best attire for gourmet cuisine in one of the formal dining restaurants like the Princess Grill or the Britannia Grill. At night it is transformed into four intimate dining venues: an Asian restaurant, an Italian trattoria, the Carvery, and the Chef's Galley, where guests experience one of the most unique epicurean adventures anywhere. Exquisite cuisine will be enjoyed in the spacious, glass lined dining salon and relaxing time will be spent in one of the many comfortable lounges.
